Clear contrasted red flash on enemy skin to visualize the damage. In tower defense the focus is not on a specific enemy, but rather on a horde of enemies. So the damage visualization must leave a clear impact on the screen

On death the enemy is immediately removed from the screen, leaving only a particle. It is immediately removed so that the (dead) body is not confused with a live one

Text popups appear by scaling up around the enemy very fast. The size of the text popup represents the weight of the damage. Comparatively high damage is represented by red text.
